You're surrounded by people... yet you've never felt more alone. Maybe it was your first day in a new country. A family gathering where everyone else seemed to understand the rules. A fancy dinner when you grew up eating something very different. Starting a new job. A bad date. A wedding. A classroom. A party where you knew no one. Or maybe it wasn't a place at all. Maybe you felt out of place in your own life. In a relationship that no longer fit. In a career that wasn't yours. Among friends who had changed. Or even in your own skin. Tonight is about those moments when you thought: "What am I doing here?" Sometimes those stories are hilarious. Sometimes they're painfully awkward. Sometimes they're heartbreaking. And sometimes, feeling completely out of place became the very thing that changed your life. Because being an outsider often teaches us something we could never have learned by fitting in. A Story Slam is a night of true, personal stories told live. Funny, emotional, awkward, inspiring, or unforgettable- stories that actually happened. Each event has a theme that inspires the night. Theme: THE MOST OUT OF PLACE I FELT Story time: 5-7 minutes Extras Cozy drinks, wine, and snacks Entry Free! (Tips help cover the mic & event costs.) 📍 Location: Restauracja Atrium IMPORTANT FOR STORYTELLERS Your story must: Be a real story (something that actually happened) Be told live (no reading) Clearly connect to the theme: THE MOST OUT OF PLACE I FELT If it doesn't follow the theme or isn't a story, it won't be eligible for scoring. WANT TO TELL A STORY? Here's how it works: DO Tell a real story-something that actually happened. Keep it between 5-7 minutes. If you go over, we'll flash a light. Make sure your story has a beginning, middle, and end. Give us stakes-why should we care? Be honest. Be vulnerable. Be real. DON'T No essays, lectures, or philosophy speeches. No reading from notes or paper-speak from the heart. No complaining-shape it into a story with meaning. No stories that ignore the theme. AFTER EACH STORY Audience judges give a score. At the end of the night, we crown the Story Slam winner. NOT READY TO SHARE? That's completely okay. Grab a drink. Settle in. Listen closely. Because everyone has had a moment when they felt like they didn't belong. The wrong place. The wrong crowd. The wrong job. The wrong country. The wrong relationship.
