Traditional Thanksgiving Day Meal! Thanksgiving is the most important American holiday, with its roots predating the Revolutionary War. Always celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November, it is timed to coincide with the end of fall harvest. Founded in 1621, Thanksgiving is a holiday dedicated to the practice of appreciation and gratitude for the blessings of lives: our health, family and friends, and material sustenance. A traditional Thanksgiving Day meal consists of a large turkey slowly roasted in spices and herbs and "stuffing," and served with a rich cranberry sauce. Side dishes include creamy mashed potatoes with brown gravy, green been casseroles, sweet potato casseroles, and much more. Everyone is invited to join us for this day of gratitude as we feast on this year's harvest, reflect on all that we are grateful for, and celebrate another harvest in the books.
