8th International conference - Musical Analisys. Historia - Theoria - Praxis

On 1-2 April 2025, the Karol Lipinski Academy of Music in Wroclaw will host 𝟴th International conference - Musical Analisis. Historia-Theoria-Praxis ✦ The conference is an international forum for the exchange of ideas and views on diverse methods of discourse about music. The aim of the conference is to deepen knowledge, confront positions and exchange experiences in the analysis and interpretation of music in historical, theoretical and practical terms. ✦ During this year's eighth edition of the scientific event, we will host researchers from European countries: Austria, Finland, Spain, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Great Britain, as well as from the United States of America and Brazil. ✦ During eight sessions, various research methods and perspectives will be presented, and issues of meaning and significance in music will be discussed. Attention will be paid to the wide application of analysis, including in exploring issues of time, sound, style and compositional technique. The issues of performance and the relationship between the creator, performer and audience will also be examined. Both traditional tools and modern technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), will be used. The research material includes artistic early and contemporary music, as well as folk and popular music. ✦ The artistic setting for the conference will be a concert featuring works by contemporary composers from the Wrocław community, created using both traditional and modern techniques. Celem konferencji jest pogłebianie wiedzy, konfrontacja stanowisk oraz wymiana doswiadczen w zakresie analizy i interpretacji muzyki w wymiarze historycznym, teoretycznym i praktycznym. ✦ Podczas tegorocznej osmej edycji wspomnianego wydarzenia naukowego goscic bedziemy naukowcow z krajow europejskich: Austrii, Finlandii, Hiszpanii, Niemiec, Polski, Wegier, Wielkiej Brytanii oraz ze Stanow Zjednoczonych Ameryki Połnocnej i Brazylii. ✦ Podczas osmiu sesji prezentowane beda rozne metody i perspektywy badawcze, dyskutowane zagadnienia sensu i znaczenia w muzyce. Zwrocona zostanie uwaga na szerokie zastosowanie analizy, m.in. w zgłebianiu problematyki czasu, brzmienia, stylu czy techniki kompozytorskiej. Badaniu poddane zostana rowniez kwestie wykonawstwa oraz relacje miedzy tworca - wykonawca - odbiorca. Wykorzystane beda zarowno tradycyjne narzedzia, jak i nowoczesne technologie, takie jak sztuczna inteligencja (AI). Materiał badawczy to zarowno artystyczna muzyka dawna i wspołczesna, jak rowniez ludowa i popularna. ✦ Oprawe artystyczna konferencji stanowic bedzie koncert, w ktorego programie znajda sie utwory wspołczesnych kompozytorow srodowiska wrocławskiego, stworzone zarowno przy uzyciu tradycyjnych technik, jak i nowoczesnych.
