📣 OPEN CALL: "Safe(r) Spaces" - creative labs and site-specific performance with a deadline on 𝟐𝟔 March 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 📣 Fundacja Sanatorium Somatyczne × Centrum Wielokulturowe w Warszawie (Plac Hallera) We invite people with migration experience and people living in Poland in multicultural realities to join an artistic process exploring safety as something we co-create - between bodies, voices, attention and space. The process will consist of creative labs in Warsaw, an intensive summer lab outside the city, and will culminate in a site-specific performance shaped by the group's discoveries and the spatial realities of Plac Hallera. 🌀 What we will explore We invite you to explore the theme of safety in space. Space understood in multiple ways - as an urban environment, the boundaries of one's own body, or an imagined landscape. In this exploration, voice will be our guide. Space between the ribs, movement begins. Air flows through the vocal folds, tissues vibrate, a sound wave emerges, and different anatomical structures resonate. Every body has its own voice - its rhythm, timbre, and distinct movement qualities. What kind of polyphony of bodies makes a space feel safe? How might it become safer?Seeking answers we will: - feel within, - tune, - let listening begin. We will follow sound waves deep into anatomical structures in search of a sense of calm, grounding, shelter, and the absence of threat. We want to explore whether there is a parallel between resonance within the boundaries of the body and consonance within public space. 🗓️ Program duration & structure Phase 𝟏 - Regular creative labs (Warsaw, Plac Hallera) Centrum Wielokulturowe w Warszawie (Jagiellońska 54, entrance from Plac Hallera) 𝟏𝟎 April - 𝟏𝟗 June 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 Every Monday and Friday, 𝟏𝟎:𝟎𝟎-𝟏𝟐:𝟎𝟎 (𝟐𝟎 meetings): Fri 10 April 2026; Mon 13 April 2026; Fri 17 April 2026; Mon 20 April 2026; Fri 24 April 2026; Mon 27 April 2026; Mon 4 May 2026; Fri 8 May 2026; Mon 11 May 2026; Fri 15 May 2026; Mon 18 May 2026; Fri 22 May 2026; Mon 25 May 2026; Fri 29 May 2026; Mon 1 June 2026; Fri 5 June 2026; Mon 8 June 2026; Fri 12 June 2026; Mon 15 June 2026; Fri 19 June 2026 Phase 𝟐 - Intensive & performance period (Aug-Sep 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔) 𝟐𝟖.𝟎𝟖.𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 - 𝟎𝟔.𝟎𝟗.𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 Retreat outside Warsaw: 28.08 - 02.09.2026 Plac Hallera / final creation phase: 03.09 - 06.09.2026 Ending site-specific performance: 06.09.2026 (during the Plac Hallera festival) The retreat location will be announced at a later stage 🤝 Cooperating institution: Centrum Wielokulturowe w Warszawie (Plac Hallera) This call is hosted by Somatic Sanatorium Foundation in cooperation with Centrum Wielokulturowe w Warszawie, located at ul.
