We will use elements of the two fields of art to expand your dance skills, guide you to find your own means of expression in dance improvisation, and help you comprehend the elements of music through improvised movement. Thanks to the tools from the areas of music and dance, you will learn more about your own body and deepen your understanding of movement, all the while experiencing live improvised music. You will also learn elements of Agata Pankowska's and David Ramalho's artistic practice, developed at the meeting point of dance and music as the MusicDance Project. 📅 16th of November 2025 🕙 10:00-14:00 (with 15 minutes break) 💰 Fee: 250 zł / person 👥 Max: 18 participants REGISTRATION: https://forms.gle/vyN8m6ucqL8vo1m27 About the teachers: MusicDance Project is a duo of artists performing double roles of dancers and musicians. Agata Pankowska and David Ramalho apply their dual background and education to search for new ways of onstage expression, examine the differences and similarities between music and dance, and create a new space in which the two disciplines complete each other, instead of dominating one another. By dancing and playing their instruments simultaneously, the artists explore the idea of two bodies meeting between the arts, and of the two arts meeting in one body. Agata Pankowska - dancer, performer, pianist. She graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, Warsaw, Poland with a master's degree both in Eurythmics and in Dance Theory and Choreography, and completed the Professional Dance Training Program Art Factory International VIII, Bologna, Italy. She's performed with such dance companies as Zawirowania Dance Theater, Extraleben Company, Warsaw Dance Theater, and The Polish National Opera. She's toured with various projects in Poland, Germany, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Portugal, Italy, and Georgia. She is a piano improviser, performing with the Musical Improv project and the Warsaw Comedy Club. She applies her musical and dance experience lecturing at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music. David Ramalho - dancer, performer, guitarist. He started his musical studies in classical guitar and composition. After finishing his Bachelor in Classical Guitar at ESMAE, Porto, he completed his Master studies in Music Education at University of Minho, Braga. Alongside his musical studies, he has also studied contemporary dance at Arte Total, Braga, having then completed the professional dance programme at Art Factory International in Bologna, Italy. In the recent years he has been studying, assisting and performing under the direction of David Zambrano. Most recently he completed the Masters in Dance and Choreographic Practices at Charleroi Danse & La Cambre, Brussels. He co-creates, collaborates and performs in projects in Europe as a dancer, choreographer, musician and composer. Working as a teacher, creator and performer, he is interested in researching new ways to work with music and dance, on stage and in the classroom. Researching both in the pedagogical and performative sides, he aims to bring the worlds of music and dance together in a complementary way.
