We invite you for 2 hour workshop with Marion Alzieu founder of Compagnie Ma' Marion has developed a rich career over more than fifteen years as a performer alongside renowned choreographers such as Emanuel Gat, Jasmin Vardimon, Salia Sanou, Amala Dianor, and Serge Aimé Coulibaly. In 2014, she founded the company Ma' and created her first solo, Ceci n'est pas une femme blanche, a committed piece that questions identities and representations. The solo met with wide international acclaim: presented in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa for nearly ten years, it received several awards in international competitions. In 2018, Ma' established its base in Savoie. There, Marion initiated long-term territorial work combining creation, cultural outreach, and the structuring of the company. That same year, she was invited to choreograph the opening parade of the Lyon Dance Biennale for the city of Villeurbanne, in collaboration with Ateliers Frappaz. Her third creation, W (2019), a duet with Franco-Burkinabe musician Michael Avron, deepened her exploration of the dialogue between music and dance, body and voice. From 2021 to 2023, Marion was an associate artist at the Dôme Théâtre in Albertville. There, she created Si c'est une fille (2022), her first group piece, which examines gender constructs. In parallel, she extended her artistic approach to other contexts with UNE, a performance designed for museums, and Alttaï, conceived for mountain environments. Long inspired by KRUMP, she initiated an intimate dialogue with this style in 2024 by creating the duet HOLD FAST with krumper Mickaël Florestan. She continues to explore this style-both aesthetically and historically-with the creation MIGHTY PACT. Her work is distinguished by a constant attention to gesture, conceived as a point of tension between cultures, disciplines, and spaces. Hybridity lies at the heart of her approach. Alongside her creations, Marion develops educational and transmission initiatives for a wide range of audiences, affirming dance as a vehicle for connection and empowerment.
