All living cells demonstrate this basic truth. Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy directly and therapeutically engages with this motion and its inherent rhythms to restore balance and health at depth in the client. Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) is a widely applicable therapy, highly effective for all clients. Its gentle essence benefits clients of all ages and health conditions, including newborns, the elderly and clients unable to receive pressure-based massage. BCST has evolved from and developed beyond more mechanistic approaches to craniosacral therapy (CST). It emphasises a more integrative approach embedded in a direct relationship with the dynamic processes taking place in the living system and thus entails a paradigm shift from a mechanistic orientation to a truly dynamic one. This approach recognises that the organising forces at work within the developing embryo are still at work in the eighty-year old. These forces are epigenetic. They underlie and precede genetic expression. These organising forces influence the fluids and the tissues of the body in a way that continuously expresses an inherent ordering principle in life. Osteopath Rollin E. Becker (1910-1996) called these forces the 'biodynamic' forces. They inherently arise from within the organism and are integrally involved with the maintenance of health. This maintenance of health can require the centering of disturbances imposed on the organism by biokinetic forces present in the environment (structural, biochemical, emotional). This centering of the disturbance creates symptomatic manifestations in the body. BCST engages with the underlying biodynamic forces engaged with these symptomatic manifestations rather than with the symptoms themselves. Such engagement supports and enhances the self-healing capacity of the body thus potentially resolving the symptoms within the core of their origin rather than in their surface manifestation. Therapeutic listening lies at the core of BCST. The listening presence of the practitioner engages with the living forces present within the client rather than introducing external biokinetic forces. This introductory webinar will inform the listener about the significant principles of BCST and the history of their development. The webinar will apply those principles to conditions held in human anatomy and physiology as presented in clinical settings. The webinar will engage the listeners with experiential explorations that lead to a direct experience of BCST principles. Presenter: Conny Pulvermacher Conny Pulvermacher has been a clinical practitioner, yoga teacher and holistic health educator for more than twenty-five years. She holds qualifications and has undergone training in bodywork, nutrition and yoga, specialising in craniosacral therapy (biodynamic and structural). She runs a busy clinical practice at Elemental Health in St.Ives, Sydney, working with a diverse client base. Her very favourite clinic visitors are newborns but she also loves supporting those who have travelled the life journey for many decades. Conny has developed an integrative approach to therapeutic practice combining the non-invasive approach of craniosacral therapy with myofascial release, positional release, acupressure, kinesiology and remedial massage to facilitate the integration of experience at multiple levels. She structures nutritional advice and movement therapy as additional tools to empower clients with self-help ability within the rhythm of everyday life. Conny has taught ATMS seminars Australia-wide since 2019 and has offered a wide range of integrative workshops in a variety of different forums focussing on holistic health, nutrition, movement and meditation. Conny is currently the co-ordinator and co-teacher for the USA based Wellness Institute, offering three-year long diploma training courses in Craniosacral therapy held in Sydney. Conny is a committed meditation practitioner. In her therapeutic practice and her lifestyle she holds a deep core belief: mind and body are inextricably interwoven with each other. When this unity is supported holistically, enabling a better balance within the autonomic nervous system, the inherent health held within every metabolism can express itself much more successfully. The commitment to that belief expresses itself in every level of Conny's therapeutic practice and teaching work. https://events.humanitix.com/webinar-series-biodynamic-craniosacral-therapy-parts-1-and-2
