""An actor can be nothing more than their soul,"" said Philippe Gaulier, one of the most renowned innovators of contemporary theatre. It is the soul, vulnerability, and connection with others that will make us unique and authentic beings through theatre. OBJECTIVES OF THIS WORKSHOP: Connecting the body with the voice, emotion, and words Developing creative potential and enjoyment Experiencing the permission to be that theatre offers Exploring new responses to conflict situations Discovering what helps and hinders me in expressing my emotions METHODOLOGY - For the workshop, participants will be asked to memorize two sentences from any text of their choice, as a vehicle and part of the work during the workshop. - Through physical exercises, improvisation, and psychodrama, we will delve into the the present moment, with listening, presence, and openness, discovering what leads us to expression and enjoyment, and conversely, where the difficulties are, what paralyzes us and leaves us disconnected. My story with the theatre and Gestalt: I discovered theatre as a child, and it taught me a new way of relating to the world. Later, Gestalt therapy, body-oriented therapy, character studies, the Enneagram, and psychodrama transformed my acting skills into those of a therapeutic theatre teacher. Since then, I have taught people who are not actors their creative potential and the tools of theatre to delve into the most authentic, genuine, and vibrant part of ourselves that seeks an outlet: only through the connection of the body with emotion and language do we have the possibility of living this experience. I encourage you to enter this imaginary space that theatre offers, and to walk together this path.
