International Academy of Music Intensive International Education Programmes - 2026 Edition About the Project The Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź is implementing the project "International Academy of Music" funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) under the SPINAKER - Intensive International Education Programmes (2025 call). The project aims to enhance the internationalisation of the Academy by developing and delivering four Intensive International Education Programmes (IIEPs) conducted in English. Who can participate? The programmes are open to: ● students of foreign music universities and other eligible higher education institutions abroad, ● students of the Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź, ● applicants aged 18-32, ● candidates with a minimum B2 level of English proficiency. A total of 80 places are available across two editions. A minimum of 75% of places are reserved for international students. Benefits for participants Participants of the Intensive International Education Programmes will receive: ● 6 ECTS credits upon successful completion of the programme, ● a digital micro-credential issued in the Europass Digital Credentials format, ● the opportunity to work in an international environment under the guidance of distinguished Polish and international pedagogues. International participants are entitled to a financial allowance in accordance with the lump-sum rules applicable under the SPINAKER programme: ● flat rate for accommodation and maintenance: PLN 300 per day of stay (8 days in total), ● scholarship: PLN 75 per day of the course, ● reimbursement of travel costs in accordance with NAWA guidelines. Participation in the programme is free of charge. Programme Structure Each Intensive International Education Programme lasts 6 days and comprises 30 teaching hours (1 teaching hour = 45 minutes). All programmes follow the same framework structure: ● Individual Masterclasses (8 h): One-to-one lessons with distinguished pedagogues ● Chamber Music / Repertoire Work (6 h): Chamber work (instrumentalists) or work with repetiteur and stage preparation (vocalists) ● Self-Presentation & Stage Image (4 h): Workshops on stage presence, body language, and professional image ● Cultural Workshops (5 h): "Łódź and Polish Musical Tradition" - guided tours, museum visits, and cultural integration ● Psychological Workshops (4 h) Techniques for managing stage anxiety and performance stress ● Final Presentations & Concerts (3 h): Public performances assessed by an independent jury Recruitment - 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 Edition Recruitment is conducted in an open, equal, and transparent manner, in accordance with the principles set out in the Recruitment and Participation Regulations. Recruitment timeline (2026 edition): ● Submission of applications: 𝟮𝟰 July 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 ● Formal and substantive evaluation: 28 July 2026 ● Announcement of results: 31 July 2026 ● 1st edition of the programmes: 𝟳-𝟭𝟮 September 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 How to apply Applications must be submitted exclusively through the dedicated APPLICATION FORM: https://forms.gle/Tf4h5EoKztU16DPe7 Required documents: • a scanned certificate confirming student status at a foreign music university (including the expected date of graduation), • an audio-video recording (maximum 30 minutes) containing two pieces in contrasting styles, with each piece presented in its entirety (submitted as a link to an online platform, e.g. YouTube). Substantive evaluation is carried out by the Selection Committee on the basis of the artistic quality of the submitted recording. The Four Intensive Programmes #Vocal Intensive Combines vocal technique, breath control, resonance, diction in four operatic languages,with intensive stage and acting preparation. The main objective of the project is to increase the level of internationalization of the Academy by developing and delivering four Intensive International Education Programs (IIEP) in English: Violin Intensive, Cello Intensive, Piano Intensive and Vocal Intensive. Each programme lasts six days and ends with the award of micro-credentials (Europass Digital Credentials) and ECTS credits. A total of 80 students from music academies will participate in the project, including at least 60 students from foreign institutions. As part of the project, eight members of the Academy's academic and administrative staff will also enhance their competences in designing and conducting international education programmes through a study visit to the University of Stavanger and intercultural communication workshops.
