Queer voices - sapphic experiences across countries and cultures

Way for Women invites you to join us for 'Queer voices - sapphic experiences across countries and cultures' 🏳️‍🌈 - a community story-telling event that will take place on May 27th at 6pm in Spółdzielna Ogniwo as a part of Queerowy Maj festival! The event will be centered around a wide range of experiences that queer women have - experiences shaped and dictated by the culture we grow up in, people we interact with and places we visit. Our speakers will tell personal stories and share intimate impressions of what it feels like to be a queer woman in particular social and cultural contexts. We will dive deeper into various topics, such as: ➤ sapphic literature ➤ queer women in sports ➤ queerness in a workplace ➤ the joys and challenges of queer love ➤ sapphic art ➤ bi erasure, and many more! ✨ We will also be joined by a psychologist who will walk us through an ACT workshop focused on empowerment through queer experience. ✨ This is an interactive event too - it is an invitation for everyone to join us and share whatever they feel like sharing! It's also an invitation not to treat yourself too seriously and to talk about our experiences with humor and maybe even make fun of certain situations that we find ourselves in. After the presentations prepared by our community members, every participant will have the chance to have their voice heard as we will break into smaller groups for thoughtful, more intimate conversations. You'll have the opportunity to: ➤ discuss how you experience your sexuality and your identity in your home country and the country you live in ➤ talk about the challenges that queer women face on a daily basis, such as multicultural dating ➤ examine the presence of queer women in all areas of life ➤ share your thoughts and feelings about the sapphic (non)visibility. This is a welcoming space for learning, reflection, and open dialogue. Whether you're a new member of our community or a deeply engaged one, your presence and your voice matters. Let's come together to celebrate sapphic women around the world, to meet new people, make new connections, and inspire each other to always stay true and authentic in our identity!
