"Nagaland unveiled: Is it still India?" 🌏 During the meeting, we will talk about one of the Seven Sisters of Northeast India-Nagaland. During the lecture, you will have the opportunity to: 🪷 learn about local culture, customs, and traditions; 🪷 find out more about the "Land of Festivals" and the famous Hornbill Festival; 🪷 discover the heritage of the 17 major tribes inhabiting the region; 🪷 see how diverse India is and what connects the Northeast with the rest of the country; 🪷 admire breathtaking landscapes as well as rich flora and fauna. The event will take place: 🌜 Monday, 18 May 🌛 🕰️ 5:00 PM 📍 Room 412, Collegium Paderevianum, Jagiellonian University (Institute of Oriental Studies) Admission is free! 🌺 The meeting will be hosted by Konrad Wawak, a second-year undergraduate student of Indology, and the guest speaker will be Ms. Vania Holińska, who comes from Nagaland and currently lives in Kraków 🌺 Please note: The meeting will be held in English! 🗣️ We warmly invite you to attend! 🤍 POL || Namaste! 🙏🏼 Koło Naukowe Indologów UJ zaprasza na wyjątkowe spotkanie organizowane w ramach Dni Indyjskich 2026! "Nagaland unveiled: Is it still India?" 🌏 Podczas spotkania porozmawiamy o jednej z siedmiu sióstr północno-wschodnich Indii - Nagalandzie. W czasie prelekcji będziecie mieli okazję: 🪷 poznać tamtejszą kulturę, zwyczaje i tradycje; 🪷 dowiedzieć się więcej o „krainie festiwali" i słynnym festiwalu Hornbill; 🪷 odkryć dziedzictwo 17 głównych plemion zamieszkujących ten region; 🪷 zobaczyć, jak różnorodne są Indie i co łączy północny wschód z resztą kraju; 🪷 podziwiać zapierające dech w piersiach scenerie oraz bogatą florę i faunę. Spotkanie odbędzie się: 🌜18.05 w poniedziałek🌛 o godzinie 17:00 🕰️ 📍 w sali 412 Collegium Paderevianum UJ (Instytut Orientalistyki) Wstęp wolny! 🌺 Spotkanie poprowadzi Konrad Wawak - student 2 roku licencjatu indologii, a gościem będzie Pani Vania Holińska, która pochodzi z Nagalandu, a obecnie mieszka w Krakowie 🌺 Uwaga: Spotkanie odbędzie się w języku angielskim!
