[🇵🇱PL poniżej👇] "Memory Keeper by Trade" is a lecture by one of the most important contemporary Irish poets, Paula Meehan. The artist invites the audience to reflect on what it means to be a "poet by profession," understood both as a vocation and a daily creative practice. 📍Wydział Filologiczny (UG), Sala Teatralna im. prof. Jerzego Limona (Gdańsk, ul. Wita Stwosza 51) ❕The event will be held in English. 🖋️During the lecture, the poet will draw on her own experiences, revealing how deeply it is rooted in a continuum of lyric poetry stretching back to antiquity. Through readings of selected poems, she will explore the process of shaping poetic craft as well as the conditions which enable its survival and development. 🇮🇪The lecture will also examine the tension between the language acquired at home and in a local community, and the experience of institutions and digital consciousness.
