We invite you to join a guided tour in English of the exhibition "Olga Boznańska and… Polish Painting of the 19th and Early 20th Centuries from the Collection of the National Museum in Gdańsk." During the tour, we will take a closer look at the work and lives of outstanding artists such as Olga Boznańska, Piotr Michałowski, Jacek Malczewski and Stanisław Wyspiański. We will explore the themes addressed in art at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries - from genre scenes and national motifs to reflections on the human condition. Special attention will be given to social contexts and the situation of women artists, their educational opportunities, and creative work in a male-dominated art world.
